- You must have completed, and demonstrated high proficiency in Level II in our Algorithms in C/C++. Prefer Level III.
- Do note: having technical background is minimal. More importantly, one MUST have demonstrated excellent communication skills and maturity to work with others.

It is important that you possess the following hard and soft skills:
- High computer programming skill (AP CS -A is minimal), or providing proof of your problem solving skills with software development, such as USACO-Gold, and/or ACSL-Intermediate/Senior level.
- Ideally progamming knowledge in C/C++. May consider Java. Software programming skills limited to Python will not be sufficient.
- If you are interested in robotics teaching assistant, your resume must show your hard experience in robotics
- Any soft experience demonstrating your rapport with younger students from gr. 5 to 8 will be very helpful as well.
